About Me - The Dock At Montauk

In 1973 I was on the Lieutenant's list with the New York City Fire Department, on the verge of being promoted, when an opportunity presented itself to buy Fitzgeralds Bar & Grill in Montauk. Looking for a job where I could be my own boss and make some easy money, I jumped at the chance.

The Dock Restaurant has been very good to the Watson family for over 30 years. I like to think that the quality of the food, service, blue collar prices and atmosphere reflect our appreciation.

At The Dock, we feel that in order for a joke to be funny, it must be told at someone’s expense. We tell ethnic, sexist, and racial jokes - everyone gets their turn in the barrel.

We have the best draft beer on Long Island. Each glass is freshly chilled. If you are looking for a cold beer, good food, and a laugh, stop in. If you are self absorbed yuppie scum with a cell-phone and “free spirited” children, go elsewhere.

By the way, I’m still looking for that job where I can make some easy money and be my own boss.
